LocalCryptos is a peer-to-peer marketplace where people exchange crypto with each other.
On LocalCryptos, people buy and sell crypto on their own terms, using any payment method. There are more than 40 payment methods to choose from.
Unlike other P2P marketplaces, LocalCryptos keeps you in charge. We don't invade your privacy, and we don't touch your funds.
Hackers have stolen several billion dollars from centralized crypto services.
LocalCryptos takes a different approach. We cut your risk by putting you in control of your wallet. When trading on LocalCryptos, only you know your private key—we never take custody of your coins.
We use in-browser cryptography technology to provide you a non-custodial escrow service. Using a non-custodial platform ensures you are protected from external threats.
LocalCryptos serves more than 100,000 traders in 100+ countries.View the marketplace

Anyone can post a bid to buy or sell crypto. Find a buyer or seller who suits you.
You can filter offers by payment method, currency, location and popularity. From bank transfers to gift cards — choose any payment method.
After you find an offer you’re happy with, open a trade with the user. Choose the amount you want to buy or sell, and lock in the price.
The other party will receive a notification — you’ll usually hear from them in under 120 seconds.
After the seller puts the crypto in an escrow account, the buyer pays the seller outside the platform. Users discuss payment details using encrypted messages.
An escrow account holds the crypto in trust until it's paid for. This ensures both sides hold up their end of the deal.
Once the seller confirms payment, crypto is released from escrow to the buyer.
Since using LocalCryptos, my economic performance has improved markedly. The security, privacy and ease of use is incredible. In Venezuela, it's like an escape valve, and it's a powerful tool to cope with the deep economic crisis that plagues the country.
For me, LocalCryptos is the platform with the best management of smart contracts to help you convert your Ether, whether by savings, investment or mining, to fiat around the world quickly and safely. I LOVE to trade in LocalCryptos.
After you read the smart contract and the white paper, you understand that LocalCryptos is secure.
I like LocalCryptos because it offers a way to trade ETH over the counter, at a rate and on terms that I set. The fees are reasonable and the site is easy to use.
I am using LocalCryptos because it is the only platform for trading Ether over-the-counter in Colombia. I really like that the wallets are in control of the users.
I use LocalCryptos because it seems like a super fast and friendly tool, besides being an excellent way to save and protect my money from the galloping devaluation of the bolivar.
I choose LocalCryptos because it's a fairly simple and effective platform. It also has good customer support that helps to solve your problems.
Thanks to LocalCryptos, I can earn money securely and save myself from hyperinflation.
LocalCryptos never takes hold of your crypto. In-browser cryptography powers the web wallet. This protects you from hacks and thefts.
An escrow account is an open-source smart contract, rather than another vulnerable intermediary.
It’s impossible for our team to touch your crypto — we can only help move it to a buyer or seller if a payment dispute arises.
LocalCryptos is the first platform to put in place end-to-end encrypted messaging.
Every message you send is encrypted with a secret key that only you and your trading partner know. We can only read your messages if either party raises a dispute or asks for help.
When you’re trading crypto on LocalCryptos, you’re making a transaction with a human being. If you use a nasty centralized exchange, you’re often dealing with a robot.
LocalCryptos is a community of more than 100,000 crypto traders from around the world. If you’re a newbie, a friendly trader will be happy to show you the ropes.
LocalCryptos is a peer-to-peer marketplace. People from all walks of life place ads on LocalCryptos to buy and sell crypto.
When two people agree on a sale, the buyer pays the fiat half directly to the seller—which is why LocalCryptos is so fast.
LocalEthereum became LocalCryptos in November 2019.
LocalEthereum began in 2017 as the first peer-to-peer marketplace for Ethereum. Now we are putting you in control of Bitcoin and more.
Same team. Same platform. Now with more cryptos. Read our announcement.
You've read the news. Exchanges have lost the password for $200 million in Bitcoin. They burnt $15 million worth of Ether by mistake. They collect sensitive passport photos only to have them stolen and sold on the dark web.
Centralized exchanges lost more than $4 billion of your money in 2019. Meanwhile, they ignore your support tickets and treat you as a number.
Crypto has earned itself a bad rep, but not because of the tech. Because Wall Street bankers have crept into the space and created a mess.
When you trade on LocalCryptos, you are in control—not custodians, not bankers. Your keys, your coins.
An escrow account holds the crypto side of the trade. This provides a guarantee of funds to the buyer, and an abort path for the seller.
The buyer of crypto should never send money before the crypto is in escrow. Likewise, the seller should only release the escrow after they see money in their account.
If payment never arrives, either party can raise a payment dispute. This allows an arbitrator to decrypt messages, verify evidence, and get the crypto to its rightful owner.
LocalCryptos is the first and largest platform to offer a non-custodial escrow system.
The technical details of the escrow depends on the crypto chosen. Ethereum escrows use a smart contract, and Bitcoin escrows use a P2WSH transaction.
All blockchains are unique. Whenever we add a new crypto, our engineering team develops a new escrow script to fit the protocol.
A non-custodial escrow system makes it impossible for LocalCryptos to steal from escrow accounts. By the same token, the platform's non-custodial nature makes it immune from common hacks and thefts.
Escrow fees are 0.25% if you post an offer or 0.75% if you respond to one. All crypto transactions also involve a network fee which goes to miners—not us.
